Abingdon Diploma Partnership
Linda Champion, Diploma Coordinator for the Abingdon Partnership, oversees all Diplomas across three secondary schools and one FE college in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
Diplomas currently offered are Creative & Media and Engineering in 2011 but this portfolio will be expanded to add two new Diplomas in Environmental and Land based Studies and Business, Administration and Finance in 2012.
Linda has worked with local employers in setting up the Diplomas, for example for the Creative & Media Diploma; Oxford Playhouse, Abingdon Museum, the Cornerstone Arts Centre and Crown Packaging, the world's second largest packaging company which supplies big brands such as Heinz and Coca-Cola, have all helped build the Creative & Media Diploma.
