Supporting careers information, advice and guidance
Inspiring the Future
Inspiring the Future is a free service for state schools and colleges to make it easy to recruit volunteers from all professions doing a range of jobs to share their knowledge and experience to help young people to make better informed decisions about their futures and the value of education. With Inspiring the Future, you will find it easier to access employers who can support careers events.
Registration is open now for schools, colleges and employers. Inspiring the Future will be publically launched in early 2012. This is being done in stages to allow a critical mass of volunteers to build before we begin making connections with schools and colleges.

Teaching staff can register now, but will not be able to see the volunteers matched with them until early 2012. Schools and colleges search for volunteers and make contact with them to invite them to take part in activities, rather than volunteers looking for opportunities.
The first phase of Inspiring the Future concentrates on state secondary schools and colleges in England, but the programme will be extended nationally and include state primary schools by 2013.
Who we are working with
Inspiring the Future has been developed with, and is supported by, all the main teaching unions including the AOC, ASCL, ATL, NAHT, NASUWT, NCSL and NUT.
Growing Ambitions
Growing Ambitions has been created by the Times Educational Supplement (TES) working with the Education and Employers Taskforce to help teachers and careers professionals give young people information, advice and guidance about jobs, careers and educational routes.
